Cubs 100 birthday badge guidance

2016 will see 100 years of the Cub section and we have produced an occasional badge to be worn on the uniform to celebrate.

In October 2013, we kicked off the Centenary celebrations early with a competition for Beavers and Cubs to design the Cubs 100 birthday badge.  Out of over 7,000 entries plus, Amber, a former Cub Scout from Nottingham, created the winning design, which was chosen by Bear Grylls.

Like with all badges worn on the uniform rules will apply as follows:

  • It can be worn on the scout uniform as an occasional badge from September 2015 until December 2016
  • It  can only be worn for a period of three months from the end date of the event or occasion. Commissioners may exceptionally authorise a longer period in special circumstances, but only for a maximum of nine months.

We have produced both an adult and young person Cubs100 scarf. As like the badge these can be worn by all members for the duration of 2016 to celebrate the Wildest Birthday Ever!
